                                                      Storeroom Assistant

Location:                   Treble Cone, Wanaka

Position:                    Storeroom Assistant

Responsible To:        Head Chef, Food and Beverage Manager

Position Summary:

To ensure that all ordered stock is delivered, accurately signed off, efficiently rotated and all outlets replenished in a timely and orderly manner during operation.

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily freight collection and unloading of daily deliveries of Food & Beverage to the mountain stock and cross-check against order sheets as trained
  • Assist in the safe and efficient storage of all F&B stock, to allow for easy stock rotation and replenishment across all outlets during operational hours
  • Assist with stock takes across all stock storage areas as detailed in the F&B Kitchen manual
  • Ensure Treble Cone’s quality standards are maintained with respect to guest service, product content and presentation and outlet housekeeping as detailed in the F&B Kitchen manual
  • Ensure efficient and hygienic cleaning and rotation of crockery and glassware, as stipulated in the F&B Kitchen manual
  • Assist kitchen staff by ensuring clean work spaces and appliances/tools for food preparation
  • Assist the Food & Beverage Manager and Head Chef with any other daily tasks as requested
  • Understand and adhere to the Treble Cone Food Control Plan

Accountabilities:

  • To consistently provide exceptional Customer Service to all guests, both internal and external
  • Adhere to Treble Cone’s Staff Health and Safety Policy, Processes and in-house Safety Rules as detailed in the Staff Handbook
  • Comply with Treble Cone’s Injury Prevention programme
  • Attend all departmental and company meetings as required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the functions and services performed for the Company
  • Maintain a neat, tidy and professional appearance at all times, in compliance with the Treble Cone Uniform and Appearance Policy
  • Demonstrate punctuality and good timekeeping by checking your required hours of work and ensuring you start work on time
  • Accurately record your times of work on a timesheet as required

Qualifications and experience:

  • New Zealand Class 1 Drivers Licence (or equivalent)
  • Experience with and have knowledge of safe manual handling practices
