Rentals Assistant

Location:                               Treble Cone, Wanaka

Job Title:                                Rentals Assistant

Responsible To:                    Snow Sports School & Rentals Manager

 

Position Summary:

To provide the best possible service and maintain high standards whilst fitting our guests with the appropriate boots, skis, poles, snowboards or part sets where required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To greet all guests and assess their equipment needs, following guidelines for proper boot fitting, ski/snowboard size, DIN and other settings, as trained
  • To provide guests with equipment ensuring a comfortable and proper fit
  • To make sure all rental agreement forms are accurately completed and that proper records are kept of all the equipment that has been rented and/or returned
  • Accurately complete all cash out procedures from your daily sales, count and package all funds and vouchers received each day
  • Assist with the basic repairs of our rental fleet as trained
  • Any other duties as required

 

Accountabilities:

  • To be knowledgeable about products that are sold and any special features or benefits that may promote certain products
  • To maintain a professional and clean work environment at all times
  • Have excellent communication and problem solving skills, be approachable and responsible
  • Work with integrity to uphold Treble Cone’s core values of teamwork, honesty, professionalism and respect
  • To consistently provide exceptional Customer Service to all guests, both internal and external
  • Adhere to Treble Cone’s Staff Health and Safety Policy, Processes and in-house Safety Rules as detailed in the Staff Handbook
  • Comply with Treble Cone’s Injury Prevention programme
  • Attend all departmental and company meetings as required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the functions and services performed for the Company
  • Maintain a neat, tidy and professional appearance at all times, in compliance with the Treble Cone Uniform and Appearance Policy
  • Demonstrate punctuality and good timekeeping by checking your required hours of work and ensuring you start work on time
  • Accurately record your times of work on a timesheet as required 

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • 1 – 2 seasons previous rentals experience
  • NZSIA Level 1 Instructors Certification or higher (or equivalent)
  • At least three seasons of experience as a Ski/Snowboard Instructor/Coach
  • Technician experience required if providing repairs to equipment. Min 1-2 seasons

  • Have a Valid Working Visa for the duration of the season (legal right to work in NZ)
  • Have a positive and a proactive, outgoing personality.  
  • You will have a desire and willingness to learn new things
  • Be a people person (of course) – ability to engage with fellow employees and guests alike
  • Love to have FUN!!
  • Have a real passion for all things SNOW
