Job Title:                                Snow Sports Instructor/Coach

Responsible To:                   Head of Snow Sports  

                                                     Snow Sports School & Rentals Manager


Position Summary:

To teach/coach our guests skiing and/or snowboarding in a safe and friendly environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach guests to ski and or snowboard in either Personal or Group situations
  • Strive to achieve guest satisfaction throughout each lesson and promote return business for the Treble Cone Snow Sports School
  • Be aware of changing weather and snow conditions when choosing terrain
  • Be prepared to teach different age groups and abilities at any time
  • Be prepared to perform duties other than teaching, upon request from your Team Leader or Manager
  • Attend all TC Teaching Modules training sessions as required
  • Assist with set up & breakdown of the meet/greet area and fun trail daily or as requested
  • Refer any complaints to a Team Leader/Manager and assist in the response as required



  • Make the safety of your guests and yourself a first priority at all times
  • Comply with Treble Cone’s teaching Code of Ethics
  •  Provide a high standard of customer service at all times when representing Treble Cone
  • Demonstrate the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels and of all ages, and maintain a positive disposition even under pressure
  • Familiarise yourself with all products offered by the Ski & Snowboard School and promote them as appropriate
  • Work with integrity to uphold Treble Cone’s core values of teamwork, honesty, professionalism and respect
  • To consistently provide exceptional Customer Service to all guests, both internal and external
  • Adhere to Treble Cone’s Staff Health and Safety Policies, Processes and in-house Safety Rules as detailed in the Staff Handbook
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures and protocols while at work at Treble Cone
  • Comply and participate with Treble Cone’s Injury Prevention programme
  • Attend all departmental and company meetings as required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the functions and services performed for the Company
  • Demonstrate an ability to treat sensitive information with discretion
  • Maintain a neat, tidy and professional appearance at all times, in compliance with the Treble Cone Uniform and Appearance Policy
  • Demonstrate punctuality and good timekeeping by checking your required hours of work and ensuring you start work on time

Qualifications and Experience

  • NZSIA Level 3 Instructors Certification (or equivalent) or higher
  • At least three seasons of experience as a Ski/Snowboard instructor/coach
  • Have the Right to Work in NZ (valid working visa)
